The Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance (OSUD) follows the COVID-19 protocols designated by each of its three locations. Find your class location(s) below to read the associated COVID-19 protocols.
The School of Dance (200 Crichton St.)
Registration
All individuals 5 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to enter The School of Dance. Proof of vaccination may be requested.
At the Studio
Only OSUD students, teachers, and volunteers will enter the building.
Masking must be maintained throughout the time spent inside 200 Crichton St.
Dance studios will be sanitized between classes.
Students will be invited to enter the building through the main Crichton St. doors 15 minutes before their class time.
After entering the building, students will be asked to sanitize their hands and will receive a plastic bag for their outdoor shoes/boots.
Contact tracing information will be recorded as people enter the building. Please complete a self-assessment prior to arriving at the studio. Students presenting the outlined symptoms will be asked to return home and contact their health care provider for further instructions.
If any student begins to exhibit symptoms or feels unwell while in the building, their emergency contact will be called. The student will be asked to wait in a designated space until their emergency contact arrives to bring them back home. Emergency contacts must arrive within 15 minutes of receiving this phone call.
Personal Belongings
Students should arrive already in their dance attire with hair done, dance shoes in a personal bag, and minimal extra items. Dance tights or socks should be worn. See our School Dress Code page for dress code details for all classes.
Pre-filled water bottles are encouraged as water fountains will not be in use.
All students from the Primary class and up must be able to manage their own personal belongings (e.g., putting on dance slippers).
After Class
Students will exit the building through the side doors (also exiting onto Crichton St.). Parents/guardians are asked to meet their students on Crichton St. near the side exit doors at the class end time.
OSUD will ensure all Primary, Junior, and Intermediate students exit the building safely and reach a parent/guardian. All Senior, Advanced, Honours, and Podorozh! students will exit the building independently after class.
