Children and Youth Programme

The Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance (OSUD) provides dance training to students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. OSUD's motto is “Ukrainian dance for all!” We welcome students of any age and level of experience.

Children as young as 3 begin in the You and Me class accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult friend. As students progress through the School, they gain further confidence and skills in Ukrainian dance and performance technique. OSUD carries strong commitment to the creativity and discipline of dance, as well as to the development of original choreography.

2024-2025 Season

Below is a list of our classes with related ages, class times, and fees. All Children/Youth Programme classes take place on Sundays in the professionally-equipped dance studios at The School of Dance (200 Crichton St.). Classes start on September 15, 2024 and end on May 31, 2025.

Honours	14-16+ years	3:45-5:15pm	$590 (or $300 in 2 installments)
Molodtsi!	Senior, Advanced, and Honours students	2:30-3:30pm (first rehearsal Sept. 22)	$275 (full year)

*Students who are 4 years of age by December 31, 2024 can register either for the You and Me Class (with an adult partner) or the Primary Class (not partnered).

Molodtsi! Youth Ensemble

Molodtsi! is a performing ensemble for OSUD youth that provides focused attention to Ukrainian dance choreography and performance training. In addition to participating in OSUD's end-of-season concerts, Molodtsi! will take part in other community performances throughout the season. Students registered in the Senior, Advanced, and Honours classes are eligible to participate in Molodtsi!.
