Meet the Instructor: Stephen Shepertycki
Stephen has over 35 years of experience as a Ukrainian dancer and over 17 years as a choreographer and instructor. Following his graduation from the Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance, Stephen joined the Dnipro Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and later the Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble as a dancer and soloist. While an active performing member with Svitanok, Stephen co-founded and worked as principal choreographer for the Mamai Ukrainian Kozak Entertainers, a seven-member Ukrainian cabaret group that put on a lively show called "The Days of Kozak Glory" featuring music, song, and dance. Thanks to his extensive background in dance, Stephen has been able to perform for audiences as diverse as local folk communities and international dignitaries all over the world. Stephen is currently a member of the Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble artistic-training team.
