Svitanok is the performing ensemble of the Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Society, the centre of Ottawa's Ukrainian dance community. The Ensemble strives towards professionalism in the training, performance, instruction, renewal, and promotion of Ukrainian dance as a viable and developing art form on the Canadian dance scene.
The Svitanok Ensemble is proud of its innovative and unique style of Ukrainian dance. Ensemble dances carry meaning behind their choreography and aim to move audience members beyond the sheer colour, athleticism, and beauty of performances.
