As a registered non-profit organization and a registered charity, the Svitanok Society relies on the generosity of its extended community to volunteer their talents, expertise, time, and effort for the continued success and growth of Ukrainian dance in Canada's capital region. Volunteer opportunities include Board of Directors positions, committee roles, and general volunteer roles.

Board of Directors

Volunteering as a member of Svitanok's Board of Directors involves a time commitment of approximately 2 to 6 hours per month throughout the year.

Committee Volunteers

Committee volunteers assist in the planning, organizing, and delivery aspects of one of the Society committees under the direction of a Board member. These positions involve moderate time commitments, generally 2 to 4 hours per month for 3 to 5 months of the year. Volunteer in the area(s) of:

• Costuming
• Marketing
• Fundraising

General Volunteers

​General volunteers give a specific, focused time commitment related to a needed skill or special project. Examples:

• Translation
• Concert production assistance
• Graphic design
• Web design
• Photography
• Videography
