New Opportunity: Volunteer Coordinator
The Svitanok Society is preparing to launch a new volunteer program! Our new Volunteer Coordinator role offers a great opportunity to accumulate volunteer hours, guide Volunteer Program next steps, and contribute to the wide benefits and impacts of Society programs.
In collaboration with Svitanok Society program leads, the Volunteer Coordinator coordinates the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers to ensure effective program implementation and volunteer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1.Recruitment and Placement: Work with Svitanok Society program leads to Identify the need for volunteers, create brief job descriptions, and recruit volunteers through various channels. Screen and match volunteers to roles that suit their skills and interests. Provide a Svitanok Society letter to waive fees associated with Police Record Checks and monitor record check results.
2.Training and Orientation: Develop and conduct orientation programs for new volunteers, providing them with the necessary training and resources to perform their roles effectively.
3.Supervision and Support: Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and engaged. Address any issues or concerns that arise during their service.
4.Event Coordination: Plan and organize volunteer events, including recognition programs and community outreach activities. Ensure that events run smoothly and meet organizational goals.
5.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, activities, and personal information. Track volunteer engagement and satisfaction to improve retention rates.
6.Evaluation and Feedback: Conduct regular evaluations of the volunteer program and gather feedback from volunteers to enhance the overall experience and effectiveness of the program.

Board of Directors
Volunteering as a member of Svitanok's Board of Directors involves a time commitment of approximately 2 to 6 hours per month throughout the year.
Committee Volunteers
Committee volunteers assist in the planning, organizing, and delivery aspects of one of the Society committees under the direction of a Board member. These positions involve moderate time commitments, generally 2 to 4 hours per month for 3 to 5 months of the year. Volunteer in the area(s) of:
