The Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance is excited to present an end-of-season performance by all ages and for all ages on Saturday, June 1!

Along with the Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and other guest artists, join us as we showcase Ukrainian-Canadian dance, music, and costumes. Become a part of the stream of story, identity and culture sharing between the generations. Be energized and uplifted by the spirit of Ukrainian dance in Canada’s capital!

Celebrating 40 years of the Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance! Join the Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance and the Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble as they cherish their roots and look to the future. The Svitanok Ensemble is excited to perform at the National Arts Centre on December 8th and 9th with the NAC Orchestra in "Holiday Traditions Around the World!" Both shows will take place on the Southam Hall stage at 2:30pm.

Everyone is welcome at the Ottawa School of Ukrainian Dance's annual Winter Celebration! The program will highlight each OSUD class in a brief dance excerpt and present the Svitanok Ensemble in rehearsal and performance. Admission by donation. Celebrate the season with OSUD!

June 4th, 2016, 7:30pm - The Svitanok Society is excited to announce its 2016 end-of-season concert: Waves of Freedom.

The concert will commemorate the 125th anniversary of Ukrainian immigration to Canada and will express pride that the Svitanok Society has in each of the five waves of immigration. Each wave has brought with it renewal, expertise, talents and skills, and Ottawa has received an amazing diversity of Ukrainian immigrants throughout the last century and a quarter.

The Svitanok Society is VERY PROUD to have roots in EACH of the FIVE waves of immigration through its dancers, their families and their family histories. When such a range of diverse individuals work together - the collective results are often nothing short of amazing.
